The A-4 Skyhawk planned by the famous Ed Heinemann for Douglas Aircraft in the 1950s, the A-4 was optimized to attract the highest fight loss rate in the Vietnam War. The Skyhawk’s almost 70 years history of notable service and its constant operation to this day is demonstrated to the timelessness of “Heinemann’s Hotrod. This Skyhawk is the biggest mass produced foam electric PNP A-4 in the world. It is powered by a 3530-1850kv brushless outrunner motor and 12 blade EDF ducted fan, achieving a top speed of 95 mph/150kph using the suggested LiPo battery 6s 5000mAh. Designed to hold a wide range of battery sizes. The Freewing 80mm A-4E/F Skyhawk features removable wings, flexible wing wire harnesses, and a magnetic nose cone enable quick takedown for easy transportation. In addition to the A-4’s overall scale profile fidelity, detachable magnetic fuel tanks and AGM-12 Bull pup guns and outer pylons, and a removable refueling probe. The Freewing 80mm A-4E/F Skyhawk is recommended for Intermediate pilots and above with prior experience on other Freewing 80mm EDF jets. We promote pilots to try all configurations and see what best suits their flying style. We prefer flying without the dreggy fuel tanks, but with the Bull pup missiles, both for “cool” factor and for orientation. The Freewing A-4 is a balance between the Freewing F-86 and the Freewing Mirage –easy to fly yet quick to disappear! The A-4’s wing has been optimized for objective usage and a mild freeze. We believe you’ll be very satisfied with the outcome!
